fluid in ear 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Anyone have any luck curing fluid in their ear? I had an ear infection. The infection has cleared up but the fluid will not go away. It's been there over a month and I am going nuts. The doctor says I need to see an ENT and get it drained. I have tried DMSO, NCD, garlic & olive oil. Nothing makes a difference. Help!

I know this is late, I just came across this post.. thought I'd reply anyway!

Swimmer's ear is often treated with drops of rubbing alcohol down to the canal, it dries up excess fluid! I also use hydrogen peroxide drops for my kids' ear infections.

I know that ear candling has been used by my friends along with drops of alcohol.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have swimmers ear and I have already tried rubbing alcohol. It hasn't helped at all. :(

Thanks for answering. I haven't tried candling. I'll see what I can find out about it and give it a try. Thanks.

I had that once and after I had it drained at the local emergency room I haven't had any problem since. That is after suffering for a month and finally confronting my fear of doctors. I figured since they didn't use any drugs I could give them the benefit of the doubt.
