lately, sticks and i have been keeping a constant supply of the huge aloe vera leaves around, and have been going all out with super smoothie drinks! we've come up with some amazing combinations!! i made a big green smoothie yesterday, and it was a lot of food, but i somehow drank it all in one sitting (i'll have to make a little bit less next time!!)... man.. quite powerful, nourishing, and incredibly delicious!! i wanted to post it here because it's one of the better ones i've come up with lately...
- 8 oz. silica tea (horsetail/nettle/oatstraw)
- 1 cucumber (peeled and chopped)
- 1/2 large leaf fresh
aloe vera gel
- 1/2 large lemon, juiced
- 2 TBS
coconut oil
- 3 TBS
truly raw cashews
- 1 TBS
mesquite meal
- 2 TBS
spirulina
- 1-2 TBS
Greener Grasses
- 1/2 tsp
Blue Manna
- 1/2 tsp
Himalayan salt
- 1 handful cilantro
although it was a LOT of food for me, the acid/alkaline balance was perfect and the flavor balance, as well (it tastes kind of like drinking cheese pizza, for some reason!)
