Tonight's beverage was absolutely off the charts. Serves 2.
10 oz. frozen blueberries
3 T goji's
1 T carob
2 T Ulimanamana chocolate chai (I urge you to get this, it's incredible)
2 T dark agave*
2 T amber or light agave*
1/3 medium avocado
1/2 cup thai coconut meat
T pumpkin seed butter**
coffee grinder:
3 T cacao nibs
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice***
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp maca extreme
1 tsp spirulina
1 tsp pure synergy
I added 1 cup coconut water and 3/4 cup water. If you find it's too thick, add a little more.
* If you're on a low sugar program, replace the agave with Yacon Root Syrup and/or stevia. Combining Yacon with Wisdom Herb's Vanilla Creme Stevia is an excellent low glycemic sweetening option I've discovered.
** Any kind of seed or nut butter will work. Almond is excellent.
*** pumpkin pie spice is very important in the taste of this recipe. It's an interesting alternative to straight cinnamon or nutmeg.
