 Dear David: My husband had a horrible diet most of his life and in the last five years or so he has been doing a lot of raw food, a lot of superfoods, all kinds of cleanses but he’s very, very thin, he’s probably about 120 pounds I’d say and about 6ft tall or so and just can’t seem to gain weight. We have the Arlin book on, you know gaining weight and it just seems like he must not be absorbing things well and is that something that he just has to keep at it and just wait for that to happen or if maybe he’s missing something?

Dave: Oh it may be a combination of two things. He may be missing something and absorption and there’s a couple of ways to address the absorption issue. One is through bowel cleansing, getting the soot out of there basically, all the debris, the stuff that’s been kind of impacted in there. Doing herbal cleansing like an ejuva cleanse or an arise and shine type of a cleanse or a Dr Shulze type of a cleanse that removes that impacted material. That’s one way.

BDE Member: Do you have a specific bowel cleanse?

DW: The one I’m into is Ejuva just because it’s soft and it generally works for more people, it’s not as aggressive and it’s also organic and it’s raw cleanse. Another really good thing to do is start really taking a lot of probiotics, friendly bacteria and see how that helps because that will help increase absorption and a lot of friendly bacteria actually eat up that mucous build up, that stuff that gets impacted in the intestines so those are two things you can do and then another thing would be blended food. He’s got, I’ll tell ya what, you take two vitamixes full of superfoods and cacao and whatever else that you like to blend up and if he drinks two full vitamixes a day of anything, he’s going to put on weight, there is no other way around it.

LF: Let me give you a little commercial too for the interview I just did with Peter Ragnar which will be coming out in about 40 days. Unbelievable and he had a lot of really good advice for muscle building, for weight gain, I mean if you see any pictures of him he’s very strong, very strapping gentleman, I mean he’s very powerful and his muscles are very strong and he gave away some amazing secrets, it’s ridiculous.
